Recycle your I.T., unused computers, PC's, Mac's & Printers.
We carry out full audits, refurbish for redistribution or reselling or recycle end-of-life equipment in an environmentally-friendly manner. All recycling is carried out according to Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations, IT Data Security and Environmental guidance and applicable legislation.
Recycle IT Right is part of Pluss which is a social enterprise that provides high-quality employment, training and equipment for disabled and supported people.
We securely recover redundant electronic equipment such as computers, servers and printers. We also collect redundant phones, PDAs and memory sticks, unlocking any residual value for you. We manage and control the whole process from start to finish with transport, product identification, registration and reporting. Once the equipment leaves your premises you can be sure that it is treated securely and efficiently.
When you dispose of redundant computer equipment, there are always concerns about what happens to the data that remains on hard disks even if they are reformatted. We use Blancco, industrial strength software, which guarantees that any residual data will be destroyed. It meets the latest HMG IA standard, the most stringent data destruction standard in the world. Embedded into our process management tool, WebView, Blancco offers another level of security – a belt and braces approach to securing your data. If Blancco cannot be used for any reason, drives will be repaired or removed and physically destroyed as agreed in advance.
Data cleansing is the first test of the machine’s functionality and creates completely data safe computers. They are then tested and inspected to determine if they work and for their physical appearance. This includes the removal of any tags and markings. This is obviously important as it ensures the machine achieves maximum value when it is resold. If it isn’t working, it will be repaired, if that can be justified.
We then sell all the commercially viable units at fair market value or above. Alternatively, as Microsoft Authorised Refurbishers, we can donate them to the charity of your choice through the MAR Program.
Sometimes, computers are just beyond repair or have no market value because they are just too old. When this is the case, the component parts are recycled according to Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations, IT Data Security and Environmental guidance and any applicable legislation.
The process is therefore seamless, we collect, we restore, we resell or we recycle. You have nothing to do and nothing is ever thrown away.
You would be justified in having serious concerns about security, especially if you’ve had mission-critical or otherwise sensitive data on the disks you entrust us with. Here’s just a few of the security measures we implement daily:
